hi all did i read somewhere on here ( i have searched but to no avail ) that vitamin d can cause sleep problems as i have been taking them after my gp suggested for joint pain back and hips ongoing for 2 years anyway iam waking every 2 hours and cant sleep after 7 am which is driving me nuts any help please kerrie

I haven't heard about sleep problems with Vitamin D!!!! Sadly problems sleeping is a common meno symptom so it is probably more to do with hormones than anything else. I am finding I wake early in the mornings these days - I long to be able to sleep in a bit in the mornings as I used to do when I was younger. DG x

Never heard of sleep problems with Vitamin D.
I use D3 every day and have done for 10 years, no sleep problems.
Well none, apart from when OH snores ::)

thanks ladies i must have dreamt it ;D i am 8 years into meno so hot flushes and mad sleep patterns seem to have settled a good while ago but i have only changed to taking vit d for a couple of weeks and having been having really poor sleep but just cant put my finger on anything else i can normally sleep all night maybe getting up once for loo and then wake around 8.30 so i dont know whats happening but i dont like it >:( kerrie

Ive been searching for stuff on low vitamin d and am sure i read that low vitamin d causes sleep problems. trouble is I cant find half the stuff i found either.

Do you take it in the morning? I've not heard of it causing sleep issues either.

i do take it in the morning yes i havent taken it now for 4 days and iam still having terrible sleep waking every 2 hours however i have been back on omeprazole for just over a week so iam wondering if its that as iam sure it disturbed my sleep before kerrie
