Title: Feeling strange after mammogram
Post by: purplenanny on February 10, 2015, 09:21:09 AM
Morning ladies
I had my mammogram yesterday and did not experience any pain during the process
But last night my boobs began to be sore on the inside. Overnight I was sweating (unusual) and my heart was racing.
This morning I feel quite sick and they are still sore and feel itchy and  burning inside.

Has anyone experienced this please?  I am sure it will settle but I do not remember this with my first mammo

I expect it's the pressure from being squeezed against the plates.  I always have pain at the time  ::)

You could ring the Dept and tell them.  Also try Nerofen-type pain relief?

Thanks CLKD    :thankyou: (http://:thankyou:)  took your advice and rang the unit.  It should get better in a couple of days and said to see GP if it gets worse.

I have taken the ibuprofen every four hours and that helped. Felt pretty grotty all day but think it may be something else brewing  :-\ (http://:-\)  PN x x
