She mentions Susan Weed, when I was in perimenopause I devoured her book, its one of the books I have kept and still delve into.

Even if you don't have time for herbs or alternate methods to HRT it still has a lot of wisdom, she also has lots of info on vitamins and minerals.

"New Menopausal Years: The Wise Woman Way (Wise Woman Ways)" Susan Weed

Ha ha - that's very good - just the right tone :)

Silverlady - I have dipped in and out of Susan Weeds website and there are some great tips and mindsets to latch onto and use. I am also reading Christine Northrups Wisdom of Menopause which is proving very helpful with learning and deciding about HRT.  I am enjoying it.

Read all  Christine Northrups MD's books Brightlight  and am waiting for delivery of her latest one "Goddesses Never Age" (not released yet) I passed the books I had onto my sister, but have downloaded them from amazon on to my kindle  when I found I missed delving into them.

Her books on menopause are timeless.

All in all I think I have read just almost everything written on menopause starting with the one my mum passed onto me when I was in my early thirties, she was passionate about Preventative Health and passed this interest  it on to me. I am grateful because I think it paved the way for me to have an easier menopause and the quite good health I have today.

I have worked at a Well Woman Centre and been on so many courses I have lost count, and trained to be a Holistic Therapist, and my interests just keep going, I hope I never stop learning.

Oh Silverlady I dream of a mother/sister relationship of sharing wisdom and experience, sadly I don't have it but.......so good to have the books and to read here on a forum about other womens way of moving through things in life.
