...okay, well maybe because I'm a bit hungry and it's cold today...because that's a good enough reason to cry isn't it?! :o

Hi
How old are you?
Are you in perimeno?
If so, crying jags are common because our hormones are fluctuating in peri.
I don't know if you are taking hrt or natural menopause meds.
If you look to the left <<<<there, you'll see loads of available options.

:welcomemm: I would like a Very Good Cry but can't :-\ …….. have a read of the menus as suggested, ask away!
-
Oh I would love a good cry too but just can't get it out.
Just cry if you have to it's just hormones, might make you feel better when you eventually stop.
-
Yes, I am in Peri - just had it confirmed yesterday - though I think it's been going on for some time.
The nurse at my surgery is very helpful - she recommended that I take some time to monitor my symptoms before I make any decision about HRT - it's always nice when a practitioner doesn't force a prescription on you!

Forgot to say - I' only 42!!

Hi Lucie
:welcomemm:
I agree with the others - I presume you have registered on here because you are possibly heading towards menopause and noticing symptoms? Definitely - if you feel like crying then let it out! As Dandelion says - your fluctuating hormones can make you cry at most ordinary or minor things - it certainly did for me!
Meanwhile have a read of this article which tells you what's going on in the body at such a time.....

Thank you! I've had a quick scan and can see that information will be really helpful.
The last year has been a bit of a roller-coaster with my symptoms - they're so varied it took me a while to work out that they were all connected. I was quite relieved to realise they were all normal peri-menopause symptoms!
-
I was about that age too ::) - glad you have a sympathetic Nurse! :medal: hang on to her, don't tell us where she is or she'll have a queue ;)
-
She is - she recommended this site! I think she's on here herself...

I'm 44 Lucy. I was 41 when hit peri didn't really have a clue but GP picked up on it, on HRT now and all reasonably ok.

Hi
If you read my past posts (and Millykin's) you'll see that we have had similar journeys - I too am 42 and it's taken two years and far too many scary tests and consultants visits for any connection to be made with my hormones. All I can add is don't totally dismiss HRT - it's there to replace what our bodies are lacking and is certainly no sign of weakness, as some people suggested to me (not on here!!). I won't lie. I still get rubbish days, but far fewer than the pre HRT days. You might also want to look into Qlaira, a very new CCP with HRT style estrogen, which has helped a lot of ladies in peri menopause whose own hormones are a bit haywire. x

I was 42 when my peri symptoms started, but I had no clue what they were for five years. I assumed they were off some prescription medication that I was having trouble coming off, as I thought I was getting withdrawal symptoms from it.
I spoke to my GP about perimeno at 42 and we discussed the fact that the ovaries just stop working whenever they stop.
My mum had surgical meno at 48 but hadnt started peri and both my sisters are just starting now, one is 49 the other is 50 and I am 48, 6yrs into peri.
I hope you can come to a decision about your symptoms.
I was so ignorant, my first response was "Will I turn into a bloke?" hahahha
I had a good read of the hrt literature, and opted for bio identical hormones, those, which are exactly the same in our bodies and I am really glad of my tiny little patch that does so much to help me. :)

Hi, went through this alot last year, just started to take bio dentical progesterone which seems to be helping. Kept a diary of dates it happened and seemed to be around when i should have been ovulating. Don't know if this is right or not, more experienced ladies on here will no doubt know. Big hug to you xx
