Title: Return of symptoms with Femseven

Last week I finished my supply of Evorel oestrogen patches (which I use with Utrogestan capsules on a conti basis). I have a stock of Femseven oestrogen patches of the same dose so I decided to use them up. Within 2 days the headaches, poor sleep and dry flaky itchy skin reappeared. The patches have the same active ingredient (oestrodiol) so I don't understand what the problem is. The only difference appears to be the delivery system - they're made of a different plastic and Femseven's changed weekly instead of twice weekly with Evorel. Has anyone else noticed poorer symptom relief with Femseven or got any idea what's going on please?

Hi Freda, why don't you ring your pharmacist, they might have some ideas. I know when I was on Femseven i struggled with absorption as was getting rashes under the patch.
