Title: I thought I understood it but...
Post by: FlorayG on January 09, 2015, 02:55:14 PM
...now I realise I don't
I thought menopause means your periods stop and then you get odd symptoms. That's certainly exactly what has happened to me. But I read on here that the symptoms can start way before periods stop, people have years of on-off bleeding, and I have genuinely no idea what HRT does. I suspect it's because I don't seem to need it?
I don't think I've even BEEN peri-menopausal. I'd never even heard of it. My periods were normal until the last one and then just stopped and the flushes and insomnia started a few months later.

Have I missed something?  ;D

::) ...... make the most of how you are now  :D ......... I had intermittent bleeds for 2 years before my periods stopped.  Fortunately most symptoms of menopause have been brief and bearable.
