For months I've had a horrible taste in my mouth...sometimes salty, sometimes metallic, ive had oral thrush, now my tongue looks white in colour, feels very dry, sometimes burning...just wondering if anyone else has experienced this before I get the courage to go back to docs....

Look up burning mouth syndrome or geographic tounge.

Some medications can cause taste alteration - are you taking anything?
Adenoids a problem? Do you still have your tonsils?

No not taking any medications..managed to get docs appt today...she says its thrush, been given drops to try instead of the gel I was using..fingers crossed it works...

Did she advise on diet generally? If not ask the Pharmacist. Thrush thrives on sugars!

No,diet wasn't mentioned...I will keep a food diary just incase as i keep gettin flare ups...
