Title: 'Baavets' and other duvet fillings
Post by: tiger74 on November 19, 2014, 12:09:32 PM
Hi everyone

To follow up on a thread already started by FlorayG...

Does anyone have experience of using a 'Baavet' duvet (or any other type of natural wool-filled duvet) and found that it helps (or not) with coping with night sweats/flushes?  The claims on their website are marvellous (of course) and I have seriously thought about investing in one.  However, they are expensive and I don't want to waste my money if it's no better than the synthetic and feather ones that I have already tried.

Any specific feedback would be gladly received.

We find that sheets, blankets are better, layered - one can throw off pull on as necessary.  Duvets didn't 'breath' enough for me!

I think that's supposed to be the point of a Baavet - they breathe

Blankets don't work for us as we use 2 different duvets on a king-sized bed because hubby doesn't get night-sweats so has a higher tog rating than me.  Throwing my half of a blanket on and off wouldn't really work as our sleeping temperatures are so different.
