Hi everyone,
I have tried 5 different meds for my anxiety but unfortunately they've all given me restless legs.....initially I was on Trazadone which I had to also take ropinirol for the restless legs. After 4 years I asked to change meds so then tried - Venlaflaxine, Mirtrazapine, Citalopram and Sertraline. I try each of them for a few months then have to wean off which is a long process but not much help when my anxiety is sky high.
I take diazepam as and when I need them at the moment. I was referred to see a specialist to help me choose meds that won't cause the restless legs but that was nearly 2 months ago...and have heard nothing!!
Im at my wits end...I called my GP to ask what's happened with the app and she said the specialist is waiting to speak to a pharmacist. Does this take 2 months!!

Dumb question, can't GP phone pharmacist if that's all you're waiting on? Of course it may have to be done through the correct channels.

What type of specialist for restless legs :-\ - usually a lack of potassium in the diet. Eating bananas cured my restless legs within 5 days. I have taken various SSSIs since 1998 and they have never affected my RL syndrome.

No a specialist to establish which ssri's might not.cause restless legs but I think most of them would...I had my iron levels checked and there fine as I take an iron suppliment daily.
I decided to phone my gp this affo and left a message...bit fed up of this now.
How many bananas did you eat a day? xx
