Title: Man flu / oestrogen
Post by: Millykin on November 08, 2014, 12:34:29 PM
Last night my husband informed me he thinks he is catching my daughters cold, who is just getting on with it, but it will go into man flu, he read somewhere that men don't produce oestrogen so a cold to a women is easier than a cold for a man. I told him I wasn't producing oestrogen either and itake HRT for that, being the loving sympathetic wife I got HRT tablet and paracetamol and offered him these, the look on his face was a picture me and my daughters were rolling about  ;D
Don't know if his theory is true but my remedy was good!

Good luck with the man flu......My son always has this despite a flu jab  ::).  He lives away from home and as part of my badgering him to get his annuall jab I told him I was not going to be there to look after him if he did get ill. He told me in all seriousness that I would have to move into his flat until he was better....ummm....nope  ;D. He went and got his flu jab  ::)

Nope away to work sniffling and moaning lol we are self employed so no choice, I drove past work and he was chirpy having usual laughs, but it will be different when he comes in! He will crash out on couch feeling sorry for himself, perk up later forget about it then start moaning again aww x

::) …….. however, more seriously - when we are with people it can 'up' the adrenaline levels which can ease symptoms.  When we get home and begin to wind down …….. also symptoms are often worse at night  >:(
