Hi karenja
You may need to try Oestogel with something like Utrogestan.  Oestrogel allows you to start with a very low dose (one pump per day) and then increase till you feel good.
I used to find too much oestrogen made me feel a bit spaced out and headachy.  You may actually be needing more oestrogen and by using Oestrogel you could up your dosage to see if it helps.
The other alternative would be to try Femoston Sequi 1/10 or 2/10 - the progesterone is closer to our own natural progesterone so is well tolerated by many women.
If you are feeling spaced out you might need to have your thyroid function checked - an under active thyroid could make you feel tired and can often play up around the time of the meno.  Do you take a good multivit like Menopace? Even if you eat really well some extra B vitamins(particularly B12) and iron could be good.
