Morning or evening, mid day? And why.
Mine is late afternoon and evening. Pressures of the day have gone and nothing is usually expected of me. I enjoy cooking the evening meal and then sitting down and finally relaxing.
My worst time is the morning. Anxiety is there and expectations of what others expect me to do.
What's your best time and why ?

My best time is early morning because I am the only one awake and the peaceful solitude really sets me up for the day. I love watching the light begin to creep across the garden as the day begins.

Bed time :D

Evening. Mornings not good because I am down and anxious. Afternoons are generally busy with caring responsibilities. Evenings are cooking and houseworky things. 9pm is my time - bit of tv, bit of Internet and maybe one glass of wine :)

Evening, once I've got home from work, shopping and visiting Mum and I can chill.
-
Definitely evening, that wind down time, knowing all the day's work is done & I can chill.

I actually have two precious moments in my day. Early morning when everyone is still asleep, with my hot cuppa coffee and on the veranda, regardless whether it is cold or warm outside. The calmness and tranquility is irreplaceable. That is probably why I am an early bird, i have to be up before the others to have these few quiet moments.
Then I love evening when all family sit for dinner . That marks the end of my day, can relax, eat chat, and settle down to sleep.

Winter evenings when I can shut the dark out, put on soft lighting and relax. :)
Mornings when I practise like a mad thing and have a coffee and cake. ::)

Hm, hard one. I like the mornings when I'm out walking the hounds and everyone else is still getting up - weekends are best, they're even quieter. I'm lucky in that I love my job so all day is good too. Evenings are nice when gym is done, dinner is eaten, chores have been sorted and it's time to relax on the sofa. Guess what I'm realy saying is that I like all of the day :)

Many years ago it was mornings - once breakfast was done, I could go to College or work …… away from the hassle within the household. Evenings were tense.
Now it's evenings. Once all the commitments are done. The best time is when DH puts his key in the door at tea-time, because he's home safely and the next best, when I'm pouring bubbles into hot water ;)

These days I am very tired in the mornings so not at my best - however once I've had my two cuppas I'm raring to go - so I love mornings when I'm alone in the house and full of energy with all the things I'm going to achieve and especially on sunny mornings!
Another time I really like is when I cook Fri-Sun (my husband cooks the rest of the time when I'm working) early evening and especially in the darker evenings - I put on some loud music and have some sherry or wine (hic) and get on with the cooking - always feel really mellow.
Finally I also like being downstairs on my own sometimes late in the evening when my husband is in bed and it's really dark and quiet ( not every night though :) ).
Mostly the offspring have gone and there is (are?) just the two of us here, so I value my alone time....

Good thread. Years ago I liked mornings because I had the whole day to enjoy what had been planned, now I prefer spontaneity ::) …… less chance of getting anxious :-\ :-X
Strangely, at home we lay in bed as long as we can - when on holiday we are up with the lark ::)
-
mid afternoon because anything not done by then will have to wait and I stop turning in circles. My husband also stops whatever jobs he's been doing too and we just potter about together, watch some TV, drink tea, walk the dog, whatever, just wind down :)

what sort of dog do you have?

we had a yellow lab decades ago before we had children. These days we have a cocker spaniel she's 4 :)

Dawn and Dusk are magical for me, waking up in our soft feather bed , coffee and womans hour - with no interruptions, walks in Autumnal woods with dogs, hot bath and back into that bed. :D
