Title: Greenwich Mean Time (UK)
Post by: babyjane on October 25, 2014, 08:06:17 PM
UK ladies, don't forget to put your clocks back an hour when you go to bed tonight.  An extra hour in bed tonight  to read or sleep or whatever you do  ;)

When I was seventeen, my parents had a party the night after we put the clocks back. It was due to start at 7.30pm.  At 6.30pm new time, the doorbell rang and it was one of the guests, a young Frenchmen who didn't know that our clocks had gone back.  He said he would go out and walk round the block for an hour until it really was 7.30pm, but Mum told him to come in and not to be daft (well, she might have said that!) I don't know who was more embarrassed - Mum who was not yet ready, or Monsiuer Quelquechose who was an hour early.................!    :-[     I didn't mind - I got to speak to him!  ;)

Wonder if this will be last year. Mind you they've been saying that for years & years &...... ;D Remember when they did 3 year trial. I'd just started secondary. Primary school kids all walking to school with fluorescent arm bands.

In my profile the forum time is showing the new time but on the posts it is an hour ahead. How do I make it the same?

Go into your profile, then look & layout & change time setting to 0 instead of 1. I've just done it too.

I wish they'd leave the time on summer time. Getting dark so early in the afternoon is way more depressing than darker mornings.
