Hi
Just found so better late than never! Just a quick intro. I'm coming up to 2 years post TAH BSO and have been on Ellest Solo 2mg since hysterectomy.
Aged 48 3/4 LOL and main problem is putting on weight- nearly 2 stone since surgery. I seem to be busier and more active than ever but it just sits on my middle-very frustrating.
I hope to gain some pearls of wisdom as to whether the surgery or HRT is at least partly responsible and if I should change what I'm on.
Look forward to chatting with you all later.

:welcomemm: is it lazy muscle ? Muscles become lax with lack of oestrogen. Have you actually gained weight when you stand on the scales?

OH yes - 2 stone - that's no muscle

Hi and welcome Hanrietta
Weight gain is all part of menopause I'm afraid. We need to eat a lot less and keep exercising - power walking and swimming are good. HRT will plump you up a bit but since I came off HRT I've managed to loose a bit of weight by permanently eating a lot less but my waist and hips have got bigger!!!!!! Dg x
