Title: anyone know how to create an HTML (I think!) link?
Post by: oldsheep on August 31, 2014, 08:20:05 PM
Trying to work out how to do this - if you want to create a link to a website in text you are typing, but just have something like for more info please click here and the 'here' takes you to the website? Sorry, I'm not even sure what it's called!
Can anyone help with totally idiot proof instructions please?

Do you mean a hyperlink oldsheep or "click here" instead of copying and pasting web address.

You could always ask Emma.

thanks Silverlady, I mean on a forum post when you want to create a link but don't want to post the url, so you type 'you could always look at this' with the word 'this' as a link to an external webpage.
I use a mac so have no idea if that complicates matters further.
Blog sites are full of them, so I assumed it can't be that complicated?

I think that is "Click here" Emma once told me how to do it on the forum for books on amazon but I have forgotten how to do it, PM her.
