HI all am about too start my pessarys is it safe to use am a worrier i tried to read the wedsite for vagifem but half of it goes over my head taanks in advance x

If it were really un-safe then it wouldn't be approved by NICE.
Once the initial loading is done, usually every night for 2/3 weeks, it is used 2/3 times a week. Such a small up-take to keep the awful sensations of razor blades, paper cuts, soreness, persistent need to pee sorted :-\

Hi I started on vagifem about three weeks ago dose was 10 mg every other night which my doctor advised going really well now only on them twice a week xx

As drugs go, it is incredibly safe if used correctly. After your initial loading dose for one to two weeks, the systemic absorption is so, so small. But you must be consistent to build up a layer of cells on the vaginal wall, a process called cornification. This wall limits absorption so you must be consistent in using Vagifem or any other topical estrogen product for the peri/vaginal area. There are great studies on this in US and most likely UK.
