Hello Ladies
I have got a really red and itchy upper vulva.
It's not in my vaginal area or on my inner labia, thankfully.
I don't think it is thrush.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to get rid of this itch and redness.
thanks

It does sound like thrush to be honest.
Have you tried Canneston cream. It's very soothing. That's what the GP always gives my mother just to sooth things even though she rarely has thrush.

This sounds like what I had recently - drove me nuts especially at night. It stopped a couple of days after I stopped washing my hair in the shower ie when shampoo rinsewater was no longer running down me and getting between my legs. I suggest you try washing your hair in the basin for a few days and see if that helps. You could also try doing without knickers and tights (heavenly under a long skirt), wearing cotton knickers, and doing without pant-liners (plasticky and sweaty - yuk). Good luck!

Hi Honeybun and Freda
I got some canesten today and applied it.
I thought about going without knickers but (sorry for TMI) I always have a discharge (not smelly or funny looking) but enough to stain my panties if I don't wear a liner.

Maybe the liner is causing this to happen. It's been really hot and humid recently and perhaps getting hotter than usual has set this off.
Have you tried changing the liner to an anti allergy type.
Sorry if you have already thought of all this.

Hi honeyb
The canesten has really helped, I'm pleased it started working so quick, what a relief. :)

That's great.
My mum has bouts of this. I think it's because she wears a panty liner all the time. Just encourages irritation in warm weather.
At least you are getting relief.

Yeah that makes sense, warm+fungal infections=itchy labia.
Just glad it wasn't in the vaginal area too.
