Sad news. I love this little clip of him listening to someone making a speech https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oT1cUTJE1Ac

Wonder if his quad bike injury from a few years back has played its part. Very sad.
-
Heard a comment today from one of his former scriptwriters
"he wasn't same after the quad bike accident - his memory........"
Such a shame.
-
I read that the accident caused him to have epilepsy.
Love the clip Taz ;D

Glad you enjoyed it Dyan.

:'( .............

Saying tonight that he may have had a fit. :'(
-
So sad, a very funny man :'( :'(

Head injury can induce epilepsy and this may have been the cause of sudden death, or it might have been a heart attack if he was taking any medication. No doubt the Press will let us know eventually.
-
Doesn't really make any difference does it? He's dead however it happened.

It is nice to know. Sudden death is always a shock. Most people want a reason ........ apparently his wife found him :'(

Oh yes, of course, I agree that if someone loses a family member then you would need an answer but it just doesn't seem quite the same when it's a celebrity. Obviously from a loved one's point of view it is very important to find out why someone has died.
Of course he did make that cartoon called Don't Fear Death or something similar which seems a bit strange now.

Rik Mayall's wife has said he died after an acute cardiac event after being out for a run. So sudden.
-
PM inconclusive so there will be more tests, probably toxicology and tests on the heart muscle.
