I am in my menopause and have not had a period for 6 months. I have felt rough since Saturday
and have had a pain in low stomach that feels sharp and like a knife and pressure.
And today i had light spotting of blood. I called doctor and earliest appointment is not until a week today.
I would like to ask everyone if they have had similar thing and is it anything to be worried about?
I really do not feel good and have lower back pain that feels like a dull ache constantly.

You may have a bleed coming on. The longest I went was seven months and then had a period and then had six normal months and then another few months with nothing again.
It's very up and down at this time so I would not worry that much.
Get checked out for peace of mind but I'm sure all will be fine.

Hi
This has happened to me too, it does sound like a period coming.
Honeybun did this happen to you whilst taking HRT?
Thanks

It sounds normal to me too. I had ten months without a period and then they started again. Is the pain relieved by taking the painkillers you would normally use for period pain?

No that was pre HRT. I went onto a sequi HRT and had a normal cycle for a few years but then had a lot of break through bleeding. I was then put on a conti and had some spotting for months before it settled.
