Title: Sight problems since starting HRT
Post by: hotstff on June 01, 2014, 06:56:43 PM
Has anybody noticed their sight being affected since starting oral HRT?

I've only been taking it a month and have noticed that I can no longer read from a normal distance - I have to hold it at arm's length.  :-X

Is this normal 'old age' or should I be worried?

(I hadn't noticed any visual problems before starting to take HRT  (yes i was a little bit shortshighted), but it seems to have deterioated drastically since starting HRT.

Could be pure coincidence, but

Should I be worried?

Never heard of it being a problem before. Dry eyes yes but deterioration in sight no.

I would book in for an eye test. You probably need reading glasses and it'd just a coincidence.

This getting older stuff is fun  ::)
