Title: Anyone take the combined Pill for PMS/perimenopause symptoms?
Post by: GypsyRoseLee on May 25, 2014, 05:10:07 PM
Well the title says it all really. Even though I am 44 my GP has recommended I try taking the Pill continuously to stop me ovulating, and so stop my raging PMS (I also think I am peri too, as I have many of the symptoms).

Has anyone tried this?

I stayed on the combined pill till I was 54.
I didn't know I was in meno,  as it turned out I was.
The pill helped enormously to reduce many of the symptoms.

If The Pill reduces symptoms give it a go?  Regular eating helps ease PMS.  Slow release foods help.  Gentle exercise.
