I know that I have mentioned this before, but my 2 external blighters have raised their nasty heads again, not unbearably painful but I would just love to get rid of them once and for all, they have been lurking around for over 25 years. Was wondering if anyone has heard of laser to treat them or the elastic band ligation and if anyone has had this treatment or injections and what the success rate was like...? :)

Hi Cassie, I can relate to your problem as I get piles from time to time, but never been brave enough to try any treatment for them.
I use presto gel which is much better than any other cream / suppository, maybe try that while waiting for whatever treatment you go for.

Salt baths are meant to be fab for piles, it shrinks them :)

My GP told me that whatever you do they generally come back :-\
Do your research before you make any decision as it can be a painful procedure.
I do sympathise as I too suffer a lot on occasions and it can make you feel miserable.

I have used Rutin for years since a NHS surgeon recommended it to me to strengthen blood vessels, it is especially helpful for Haemorrhoids, though it is not a quick fix as it takes time to strengthen the small veins.
