Hello, my GP signposted me to this resource for help. Been suffering from gambit of symptoms for some months now. Night sweats, sleeplessness, joint arthritic changes, mood fluctuations and vaginal dryness - lucky me! Was apprehensive about HRT and eventually started it 2 weeks ago- wish I could say its good but I'm feeling worse! Have constant feelings of heaviness in abdomen and back ache with indigestion I know I have to persevere but beginning to feel really despondent. I am 54 work full time and am beginning to feel a bit fed up with it all. Reading this forum has really helped me see I'm not the only one and has put things in perspective as I was beginning to get scared of the symptoms.

Hey Kpnuts
We have all had times like you hun...look after yourself and scale things down. Do things that make you feel good and happy.

thank you Mrs January, I have been struggling as my original gp said menopause is natural and I needed to just find my way through it! I am struggling with working full time and not sleeping so I will take your advice and try to scale down some. thank you for your kind words

Yes - but there is help available (HRT) which makes things so much easier and gives us back our lives.

Hi Kpnuts :welcomemm:
Just because something is natural, does not mean we have to put up with symptoms, some of which are quite frightening!
As Mrs January says, it's time to look after yourself and learn to say 'no!' It's liberating and amusing to watch people's reactions when they don't get the answer they expect. I'm very picky about what I volunteer for now. ;D
Regarding your HRT, you need to give it a bit of time to work- anything up to 3 months. Have a look at the green menus on the left for more options to help you. You can also use the search field at the top right of the page to look at threads with key words e.g sleep, mood, aches, vaginal symptoms etc.... This gave me a great insight into some of my weirder symptoms and stopped me panicking as much. ::)
