Title: What works with hypothyroidism and menopause?

I am unsure where thy symptoms cross over. For example hot flushes can be caused by both, I am suffering greatly again with them, my usual sage tablets have stopped working for some reason. Anyone else on here have hypo ans have successfully stopped their flushes?

I am on thyroxine and Estradot, my HRT dose was upped to 100 last summer and in last 3 months have noticed dry skin, small flushes and slight lethargy so have just upped my thyroxine to 100 g and it seems to be working, have tried higher dose of thyroxine in past and ended up with palpitations but not so this time.  Possibly the HRT

 Cont....... affects the thyroid or vice versa , they wll be intertwined, certainly initially thyroxine stopped palpitations and flushing that I was still getting with HRT , all a balancing act ,there are thyroid forums and people on there who will be able to help.  Thyroid UK is one,

Winterose, my gp won't let me have hrt,also as my bloods are in range ( and you'll know all about that!) I am on 75 mg,thyroxine, and as far as they're concerned, healthy.
