Title: Hysterectomy 9th April - done and dusted!
Post by: ichante on April 15, 2014, 08:21:51 AM
Hello lovely ladies,

Just a quick update and thank you for your support at a nerve racking time.
Had op on 9th April - everything removed + hormone implants -  went well.
Stayed an extra 24 hours - high temperature.
Home on 12th April.
Care from all nursing staff, healthcare assistants, Doctors, - excellent.
Overall feeling good - getting plenty of rest - feeling more positive.
My two adult children have really stepped up - lots of care and fuss.
Will share more details in later post as I think it's important especially for women who are considering a hysterectomy.
But so far I am REALLY glad I went through with it.

Soooo relieved that's it's over

Have a lovely day, ladies.  :)

Ichante xx

Great news ichante  :foryou:

... and good to have the children taking care of you. Take all the fussing and rest as much as possible.

Eco what Galadriel has said, so pleased it went well and you have the aftercare, it really is what you need after a complete hysterectomy.

Enjoy the care and fuss. :)

Glad it all went well - make sure you carry on resting and let the children look after you for a change ;)

Glad it went well. I had mine years ago, but was grateful for the relief from constant pain & bleeding. Have never regretted it.
