:-\ hi,
I have dry, itchy, slightly flaky skin above my eyes right up to under my eyebrows.
Has anyone else had this?
It might not be anything connected to pre meno but it feels like I either get more little things since I was told this is what I am probably dealing with or I may just take more notice of every little thing!! (It's such fun!! I love being a woman, yay..).
Is it a thing? I think they should just say pre meno means you feel like you are falling apart and will start to worry about everything.......

Yep, yep, yep ::) ...... sometimes my eye brows are flakey ........ sometimes it's my chin ......... then I notice an ache here adn there ...
I think as we age we become more health alert. Have a browse round, menus on the left, we have af unny room and if you do a 'search' you will see how others deal with symptoms.
:welcomemm:

Its best to determine what is and treat accordingly

Hi
I don't think it's related to menopause symptoms (though I could be wrong!). I used to have an allergic reaction to the goggles used for swimming; but I was younger then, and did not think it was connected to anything else. Now that I am reacting to some of my eye make-up, I think it is related to my previous reaction to goggles.
Have you had this problem before? Or has anything changed - make-up? moisturisers?

I get this from time to time but I also have quite sensitive skin so any change in make-up, skincare products can trigger it. I found smearing a light layer of manuka honey on my eyelids before bed (use a q-tip) helped enormously although you might wake up in the morning with your eyes gunked together with honey ;)

I get this but I know that mine is not related to meno because i have had it long before. I get little flakes of skin on my glasses and have to keep cleaning them. I just got a tube of aveeno cream which seems nice.
Hope you get it sorted.

I think you have eczema.
I have had eczema off and on throughout my life and at one stage had it on my eyelids. It sounds as if this is what you have.
Question is- are you using something that's causing it? Shampoo getting on your face in the shower? new eye make up? creams or cleansers?
You need very weak 0.5% hydrocortisone but use very sparingly for a few days only as it can thin the skin. You'll need to see your dr for a prescription as you can't buy this strength OTC.
