Title: Mirena Coil - me again !!

Me again - quick question - had a Mirena coil fitted  for the first time a week ago yesterday, all went fine, but the last couple of days I have noticed I am a bit 'achey' down below - anyone else find this?

I started to get itchy through peri and post meno regardless of what HRt I was using.  I now know that I have been suffering from Vaginal Atrophy (burning urethra and itching) all this time and needed local oestrogen as well and systemic HRT.  The Mirena can slightly unbalance the flora in the vagina and itching would be a sign.  I always used some vaginal moisturiser like Multi Gyn Actigel that kept things nicely acidic and prevented itching.
It maybe that your natural secretions have got going again which is also a good sign.
