I have just started taking elleste duet and I feel fine hot flushes have gone I feel happier but I have have started bleeding quite heavily. The doctor suggested that I wait as this sometimes settles down but I have not had a period for a year. Has anybody experienced this and did it get better?

Hi chatty
Is it Elleste Duet conti you are taking - the no bleed type, or the one with the two different types of tablet (which is designed to give a bleed every 4 weeks)?
I imagine if you were given the Elleste Duet conti and you haven't had a period for a year - then as your doctor says bleeding should settle. It is quite usual to get some irregular spotting or bleeding during the first few months of conti HRT.
I am sure someone will be along to share their experience, as I have never taken tablet HRT.

Thank you for your reply and yes it is the no bleed type. There was talk of me having patches instead of a tablet. Have other methods worked better for you?
