 ;D ………. and the male voice says that his 3rd daughter is getting married in the Summer, why couldn't she wait 3 years until he has paid off the mortgage  ::)

I used to breed hamsters - sexing them is very easy (especially when they are hanging from the top of the cage!).  Believe me, males are obvious - you don't hve to 'peep'!!!

A neighbour's Grandfather was the 1st person to bring Syrian hamsters into the UK.  From one little critter  :o

I know - they are a pain to breed too, as they will fight to the death if they aren't ready to mate, and have to separated immediately after too!   It's like hamster voyeurism (Sp???)!!!  The little Russians are much more sociable.
