Hi All
Last night I was woken up by feeling really hot and sweaty but shivering also, I just culdnt seem to warm up. This was accompanied but abdo pain a feeling of nausea and feeling of over full which seems to back up to my throat. The pain did not last long, I paced around the bedroom for a while and it seemed to ease. Today though I still feel a bit yucky although no pain.
Doctor has offered a sigmoidoscopy but not sure if symptoms are purely peri symptoms.
Just wondered if anyone has experienced the same or similar?
To be honest, I was feeling ok the weekend and after last night I have been knocked back down the anxiety route again.

Heartburn?
What had you eaten that is different? Did sitting up over night help?
The body can think it's in shock hence the shivering and nausea ……..

It really sounds like a bit of a bug to me. There, are all sorts going round. I had something similar a,week or so ago. I was never sick but had hot and cold shivers and then the runs.
Hope you feel better soon.

Sounds like hormones, a bug would 'go through the system' although if one continues to eat, then the food 'feeds' the bug ……… HORMONES >:(

Hi Twinkle
I have experienced almost exactly what you describe the feeling intensely hot especially in the upper part of my body and head but shivering at the same time almost like the worst flu and this is followed by having to rush to the bathroom with an upset stomach although I know yours makes you feel nauseous. I am post menopausal and this occurs when all the lovely symptoms of the menopause are at their worst. I am just starting to take HRT so will let you know if this helps. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone and this is such a great website for support and advice from other ladies who really do understand.
