Post by: Wombat on February 09, 2014, 10:15:03 PM
 :) :)Hello Ladies

So my latest symptom of meno seems to be a feeling that I have scalded my tongue and the roof of my mouth !!!  I haven't

Has anyone else experienced this ??? Can we do anything about it?  How long does it last ??

I appreciate all your help

Thanks x

Never heard of that one. Doubt it's meno. Drink lots of cold water until it passes.

Well we learn something new every day. Apologies for doubting it's relation to meno. What else can meno throw at us? Seems relentless.

Yes I have it right now. It can last for days. I also sometimes get ulcers on my tongue and my lips  burn. I try not to eat anything hard or spicy when I have it as it can make it worse.

Thanks Chloe. So does it come and go ?  Other than avoiding spicy and hard foods does anything help ????

Mine comes and goes. i will have it for a few days then be ok for a couple of days. When I get it I avoid anything spicy and any hard foods like nuts and crisps as they make the roof of my mouth and tongue sore. I also get ulcers on my tongue when it is really bad.

Same Chloe. I had burning mouth in the past..... very, very distressing. What comes and goes now, is what chloe described, lips sore, ulcers, sore tongue and roof. Definately meno related and definately related to digestion, or a slowing down of digestion. I cant eat crisps or nuts, so hard to digest, and if i do.... God The acid!!

Mine went away....I was ecstatic, then came back 24 hours later

Gladto know I am not alone or psychotically imagining things.... Will watch my diet for sure

I have this condition regularly as well.  I get it for weeks at a time then it goes away for some time, but will then return once again.  >:(
