Hi All
came off pill last August and not had a period until:
January - day 1 - took elleste solo , started period for 5 days very next day.
Day 7 - changed to elleste duet conti as realised was given wrong one (as I have a womb, etc).
Now day 21 and have started period again.....pains etc
Is this usual?
ps they are real periods with usual pain, other symptoms and feeling so much better on day of bleeding.
anyone any idea/advice?
thanks

Hi rosycheeks
The reason for the bleeding is most likely that you are still peri-menopausal - you started the HRT before I year since last period and I can't remember how old you are?
Also - you have been given conti HRT which is supposed to be for women who have gone 1 year without a period ie are most likely definitely post-menopausal.
It is usual to be given a sequi HRT so that you have a monthly bleed - otherwise you may continue to bleed at odd times on the conti as your own cycle is breaking through.
In fact looking back at your posts earlier this is what I (and Taz) suggested.
Even for post-menopausal women a certain amount of bleeding in the first 6 months of a conti HRT is quite common and should settle.
