Title: Funny names for occupations
Post by: Joyce on January 13, 2014, 11:28:03 AM
Today whilst walking home saw a driving school car - Startkey & Clutch. Made me smile.  :)

Years ago on my way to work I used to pass a dentist called Mr Gummer.  ;D

Can anyone add to that?

There used to be a fishmonger nearby whose name was S.E.Breeze.  I used to think that was lovely and very apt.

That's the same one as in the link I posted Eddie. He was named before Donald Duck was created so his parents can be forgiven.  ;D

I love this stuff  :D

The chief fire officer for the region of London I used to live in was/is a Mr Sparks.
Used to be undertakers in Cape Town called Human and Pitt.
Builders were called Savage and Lovemore.

A friend had to stop a friend of hers from calling her daughter Iona. Her surname was Pile  ;D

There are some good ones on here. I nearly spat my coffee at the incontinence doctors' names  ;D
