Hi all
I've been on HRT - Elleste Duet 2mg for 3 weeks and it doesn't seem to be working yet! I know I am probably being very impatient but have been reading that people's symptoms often get better within a week or so! I was put on this due to a premature menopause (I was 43 yesterday!)
My hot flushes during the day are slightly better but I'm still getting very bad night sweats!
Presume I will be told to keep with the tabs for a while longer??
Can anyone help or advise??

I only started hrt yesterday but my specialist said do not increase your dose for at least 4 weeks, estrogen needs time to build up in your system. I have been on progesterone only for a few months and it definitely took 2 months for me to feel the benefit. So although I really have no idea, I would suggest sticking with it a bit longer before seeing about changing x

Too much oestrogen makes me feel sick and jittery.
Best to start on a small dose and then build up after three months if you are not getting symptom control.

Hi ogs01
I agree with Suzyq - keep on with it for a while longer yet. If your flushes are easing then hopefully the night sweats will do too.
Sometimes (from what I've read on here) I think it takes longer for some women to experience relief from tablets compared to transdermal methods - but I may be completely wrong there!
