My current period was nearly 3 weeks late but has lasted a month and still not showing any signs of going, my doctor doesn't seem too concerned, but I am beginning to wonder if it will ever stop.
Have any of you ever had a very long period? How long did it last?
Just knowing I am not alone will help so much.
Thanks

I remember having periods that wouldn't stop, not heavy. I went to see the GP who gave me a short course of tablets. I think it was Progesterone, would I be right, meno experts? This helped. This went on for a few months before they stopped altogether. This was 8 years ago.

I was on a period none stop for 7 months after the birth of my daughter. I had to have a D&C in the end to stop it xx

I tend to go 8 weeks now without a period and then have horrid heavy ones for almost 4 weeks. Due to really heavy flooding, I've had to take iron to recover ferritin levels and have been referred for ultrasound scan in case due to fibroids. Just waiting for results now. In the meantime I've got a prescription of tranexamic acid tablets for the next time of deep joy ;). It's a barrel of laughs this time of life isn't it?!

Been spotting/bleeding/spotting for almost 7 weeks, transvaginal ultrasound 2 weeks ago showed fibroids.

Thanks for your replies, I really thought I was alone on this one.
Still going strong after 31 days - but fingers crossed, think it may be better than yesterday
