Had heaps to do, so started off with soup making first. Hit stresscos for what should have been quick shop. Choosing stuff & popping in trolley was easy peasy. But OMG the checkouts. For once they had most of them open. Got stuck behind customer with pile of coupons, I had load myself, so couldn't grumble. However, what I hadn't realised was their coupons weren't scanning so had to be done manually. My turn came, my coupons scanned but didn't deduct the value, so had to be done manually. Then had to pop into health shop and their buy 2 get one free wasn't working so had to be done manually also. So what should have taken about 30 minutes tops took more than 3 x as long.
Hubby has been working, at home all morning, so couldn't tidy kitchen, which was like a bomb site, so had to sort that out. Then I couldn't find screw driver to switch off water to outside tap, took me ages to find that. Then I had to sort out washing machine, it was jumping across the floor. Finally sat down to soup, 30 minutes ago. Knackered!
Now for a piece of useless information. Did you know that more people need dental treatment prior to Christmas than any other time of the year due to broken fillings & teeth? Not because of mince pies etc but due to stress. Although we don't know it, we clench our teeth more at this time of year & something has to give. Hygienist told me yesterday as I'd broken a tooth. Think it was Taz who had to make trip to dentist just before Christmas last year & still had Christmas shopping to do.
Oh & to top it off hubby still can't work temperature control for central heating! He's just had his umpteenth lesson. :bang:

Sounds like a fun morning CG.
Mine has been less than perfect. Daughters boyfriend came over last night and took away wheels from our car to put new tyres on so we were left with her car. Went into town only to discover that the car was not running properly.
Parked and then went to go shopping when hubby announced he was not feeling too good and was having a hypo. Oh joy. Had to turn round and come straight home to sort him out. I am a little lacking in sympathy as his consultant is jiggling with the amount of insulin he takes and it needs more careful monitoring. Did he test before we went out....nope.
Now hanging about while the boyfriend tries to sort daughters car.
My day has not started yet and its half over.
That's my moan for today ;D

Lots of sympathy ladies.
My / our aggro today has been BT. Our broadband keeps either connecting really really slowly, too slow for use, or disconnecting completely. OH rang to report fault, he eventually managed to speak to a lady in India who wanted to know what operating systems our laptops were using! Yes, those laptops which are not actually linked directly to the homehub / router.
She kept saying there was no problem with the broadband which is patently not the case. :beat:
The last thing to happen was her putting the phone down on OH. Have a horrible feeling this one is going to run and run.
CG and HB I really hope your days improve.

;D sorry :-\ ........ Stresscos was heaving here too ........... like it's C.mas Eve already ::)
R broad band was running slower than usual 2 weeks ago, I took a walk round the village to find BT Open whatever they are at work in a hole :o ::) ........... so now when ever it isn't working I trot round the village ....... well, stroll ......... there are a LOT of new houses being built which maybe accounts for the BT Open van being around ........
Mine has marginally improved as the day crept on ;)

BT have been down a hole here too. Every week in fact. Then they dug another hole at end of cul de sac, which is tight enough at best of times, so neighbours had great difficulty driving in & out. Then they put up barricading round hole & left it for weeks.
Now I'm just chilling before starting tea.

DH is cooking tea - can you smell it ;)
I'm keeping out of the way until he calls 'warm the plates time' ;D

After not sleeping, rushed into the local town early, to pick up a few bits and to go to the library. The roads were quiet, so I was surprised when there was no room in the car parks, but managed to park for free at a distance. My foot protested rather painfully as I hobbled in. ( I stepped awkwardly off a pavement a couple of months ago and I have been trying to ignore it. ) Then I realised I had forgotten my overdue books. (*****! Blame it on my meno brain!)
Came back home to my daughter's partner sorting out the hedges and daughter making art things to sell and had the afternoon looking after my 14 month old grandson. Lots of "oohs", "cars" and "woof, woofs". Nothing better than the joy of a little toddler for getting your equilibrium back. :)
Ooh! CLKD......I can smell it! Just seeking energy to cook our tea!

Ju Ju - maybe the roads were quiet because all the cars were in the carparks.... ;D

Just typical pre-Christmas madness. Folk go nuts buying in food & supplies. Up here the supermarket is only closed for Christmas day & New Year's day. What's the rush! ;D
