Hi Everyone,
Just had a letter back about my recent smear test not the answer I was expecting. They have notice
changes I have to go back in 6 months. Anyone else had this and what does it mean please.
Regards

My sister had this many years ago. Still here ::)
It probably means that the cells are not what is 'usual' as our bodies age. If you are worried give the Nurse who took the sample a ring. 3-6 month regular checks until the cells are 'within normal limits' is usual if there is any doubt.

Hi Winnie - I think that changes can be down to different things so they just need to keep an eye on your to make sure that it is not the beginning of cell changes which may lead to cancer. This might be useful http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/cancer-help/type/cervical-cancer/about/cervical-cancer-screening
Try not to worry.
