Hi Chezzym :welcomemm:

It depends on the individual really and which symptoms you have. Hot flushes are usually the first to disappear - mine went within 48 hours - but things such as anxiety, depression and mood swings can take longer.

Perhaps you would like to explain a little more as to how you are feeling?

You should probably notice a little difference after 2 patches.  Hope so anyway! ;)  It's a gradual improvement thing.

Hi chezzym
 :welcomemm:
from me too

Also to add it depends to some extent on the patch as well - whether you are on a cycle or continuous combined HRT - the different types and progestogens sometimes have different effects on different women

Hi chezzym - what brand are they and do you have to take a combi-patch at some point with the progestogen to protect your womb lining?

Adding oestrogen as you are doing should even out the mood swings to some extent ie will prevent your estradiol levels from dropping too low, but it won't stop your own cycle and fluctuations in progesterone will also contribute to mood swings and in irritability particular. HRT should help though!
