Title: HELP PLEASE!
Post by: Spangles on November 17, 2013, 06:05:46 PM
Hello ladies

My patch has fallen off in the bath and I'm not due a change until Thursday, I don't have any phase 2 left and can't get any from the doctors until Wednesday due to the time for a prescription to be processed. (Crazy I know).
It's probably a silly question but can I stick it back on? Or shall I change back to phase 1 early?

Thankyou

This has happened to be before - isn't annoying?

As you haven't got any phase 2 left you may find that as it dries out you can reapply it. Failing that I wouldn't apply a phase 1 patch early but just go without until Thursday. You may find you have a bleed earlier than normal.

Someone else will be along soon with more advice I am sure.

Hi shellb

Mine sometimes come loose in the bath at the "wrong" time and as Taz has found they can be re-applied - I just stick it back down again when dry. Not sure what the bathwater does to the hormone in the adhesive but it makes me feel better anyway! You might find that the time without it has already caused your progestogen levels to fall, so even if you stick it back on you may still get an ealrlier bleed as Taz said.

Anyone who uses patches - always order some more at least two weeks before they run out to avoid this sort of thing especially as some are difficult to get hold of at times!

I just use adhesive tape, called eye tape, to stick mine back on.  I dry first with the cool temp of a hair dryer.

Mine sometimes stick to my nightgown and come off when I am sleeping.  I just stick them back on....but they are dry, not wet.  Let it dry and try to stick it back on.

Thank you ladies

My bottom now looks like I've had major surgery as there is so much tape holding my patch in place!

Menopause who'd have it!
