Title: menopause and the lack of sex drive
Post by: greeneyes22 on October 18, 2013, 06:30:38 AM
 >:(

I am very upset because my sex drive had completely gone and my partner cant take any more. He says that if it goes on any longer he will consider leaving.  He says to me that why should he have to stop having sex just because I don't want  to.  Please help don't know what to do.

Print off the advice for husbands sheet and let him read it. Perhaps then he will not take it personally and understand its not your fault and what you are going through.

You need to try to get through to him that it is all hormone related and not that you have gone off him. Have you had a word with your GP and are you on any medication?

I was advised by a friend to take Evening Primrose oil and Starflower oil together every day.  I had completely gone off sex a couple of years ago much to the frustration of my other half, but I have to say, it may only be a placebo effect, but it has really helped.
SEnding hugs. This meno thing really stinks :(
