Did anyone see this? She had hysterectomy 2 months ago due to large cysts. She is horrified by the Dickensian attitude nowadays to the Menopause. So Phillip Schofield has suggested she returns at a later date to do a section on attitudes to the menopause. Here's hoping.......

It does seem to be the last taboo. You can people having sex in a box on the telly but not talking about what happens to half the population in their 50s and beyond. Good for her.

Hi there I agree that this subject should be more in the open there is men cancer week ,sex after 60 including best positions and the dreaded sex in a box to much sex programmes these days don't know how we all managed up till now ???.Anyway back to menopause it really does need some tv air time with different women and thier experiences as it still is taboo and in this day and age that ridiculous so lets keep fingers crossed.

I caught the end of the article. Perhaps you could send an e-mail to This Morning and Patsy pointing them to the MM Forum ;) or a copy of the MM magazine?

Maybe she's on here already. ;)

I've just watched it and I'm definitely going to watch the phone in which is on very soon. I think it is brilliant that the subject of menopause is being discussed on This Morning. It certainly seems to be a subject that is not discussed much in this country. I think Patsy is brilliant and she looks amazing, I'm so glad that she has found something that works for her.
I just watched the phone in, it was brilliant, and Dr Chris mentioned Menopause Matters!!!! Thank you This Morning! :)

Dunno if mm got a mention or it was just the prod some ladies needed, but we've had a sudden influx of 27 new members on the forum since the programme aired, when I'd have expected 2 or 3.
Catch up (probably be uploaded tomorrow 12th Feb 2014 for 6 days.)

Dr Chris, mentioned this forum Emma, for those looking for advice & support.
We're a good bunch and always good fun. Heck if we can't laugh, what else have we got?

Yes, I've joined the forum as a result of watching Patsy Kensit on 'This Morning.' I started going through the change at 48 and stopped having periods altogether a year later. Hot flashes, insomnia, anxiety, breast pain and joint pain, lack of confidence, memory loss etc., have been plaguing me and it was good to hear Patsy speaking about her experience. For a long time I've felt that no one understands and that I was the only one going through this. I also didn't feel comfortable discussing my problems with family and friends.
I've spent time today looking at some of the postings on the forum and have found them extremely helpful.

Welcome Dottie :)
I missed the prog unfortunately, probably on iplayer though. I think there should be something on during peak viewing time as well. It does indeed seem to be the last taboo; my best friend shies away from talking about it :(
