Title: PROGESTERONE AND TINNITUS
Post by: Cassie on October 09, 2013, 06:44:06 AM
Since being on the 200mg Utrogestan, my tinnitus has definitely gotten worse, does anyone else find that progesterone worsens theirs? Apparantly, it can be a side effect, sigh, what next??

Fortunately my noisy ears don't seem to be caused by anything in particular.  I notice them buzzing and wonder how long it's been happening  ::)

Hi Cassie - the tinnitus could get worse on the Utro as prog can negate the positive effects of estrogen.

I'm highly prog intolerant and get all kinds of side effects on prog - it's as if there's no estrogen circulating, it's stripped out or negated by the prog.

When I was first plunged into meno, tinnitus drove me mad at night, due to the sudden drop in hormone levels.

Yeah, what next, it never ends, this flipping meno.
