'Burning' is a classic sign of V.A. Ask your GP for topical oestrogen pessaries and I guarantee you will feel more comfortable within a couple of weeks.

Agreed...just try some oestro cream...if it works it was va , if it doesnt work, at least youve ruled it out...nothing lost.

Hi Moonbeam - we had a chat about this a couple of months back - were any of our comments helpful? http://www.menopausematters.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,22229.msg336010.html#msg336010

I went to Gp armed with what you lovely people said and all I got was you are on HRT , that is enough, also said I had some thrush, gave me a pill for it that is that but after 2 weeks I had sex and the burning was still as bad, not sure what to do anymore,I have no faith in the GP, any help x

Try using Multi-Gyn Actigel - you can get it in Boots or online. Helps to keep your vaginal flora at the right ph and I find it relieves the burning. It's designed to prevent BV and thrush. Great Lubricant as well. Very safe and easy to use - I use a small amount every night after showering.  Also use special vaginal washes as they are designed to preserve ph balance as well.   I always use lots of KY gel with sex even though I am on HRT - just makes things more comfortable.
Good luck
