Title: vaginal discharge
Post by: catherine on September 02, 2013, 02:54:16 PM
Hello All, I'm Catherine, a new member, and seeking your advice. I was diagnosed this year with atrophic vaginitis and had a15 day course of oestradol pessaries, 500mcg. I finished the course and saw my GP 10 days go and all was good................for a couple of days! Since then I've had a creamy white discharge which is non-offensive and non-itching predominantly through the day and especially when I'm active which is most of the day. Does anyone have any idea what to do or is it best just to leave it?, I don't really want to take too many hormones, but I did read that oestradol is usually given for 3 months. I'd really welcome your views and advice. Thank You

It sounds perfectly normal and is related to the surge in your oestrogen levels,  I also have it on the gel, relax, as long as it is odourless and you do not have any other symptoms then I would not stress.

Thank you Cassie, that's really reassuring, I just wish I'd known beforehand, but I suppose they can't tell you everything
