Title: i'm new. everything seems to make more sense reading all this!
Post by: oswin on August 30, 2013, 04:43:48 PM
I have browsed through the forum and great to feel I'm not the only one!.  I am self employed and have been unable to work for the last five months. I had been very stressed with working, family stuff and then just had a bad bout of depression where I couldn't do anything. I also felt exhausted, aches and pains everywhere, and very  anxious. I'm 51 and think I've had symptoms for quite a while now. Going to the doctors on Monday to get results of an ultrasound scan to see if I have fibroids or anything else.  I guess I may have to think about HRT but think I can cope with physical symptoms, but only want HRT if it can help with the mood swings and anxiety. The good thing about all this is that it's slowed me down, I had been overdoing it for too long. So time now to look after myself.

Hello Oswin,
welcome to site. I have found it to be so very useful and full of tips, but the best thing is that you realise just how many women suffer, and surprisingly [to me] how many suffer early meno signs. Also how many are reluctant to go to see GP. Does this say something about women in general, or the way we are treated by GP's? Hope that you get some answers and treatment.
