Title: Water/sweat under patches
Post by: Badga on July 23, 2013, 07:32:50 AM
Having been switched from Evorel Conti to Estradot, due to the poor sticking quality of Conti, I am still finding that when I remove the patch, although the edge is stuck down, there is what I presume is sweat under then centre.

Anyone else had similar experiences with patches?

Hi Badga,
Are you sticking them to the same area & how many have you had this problem with?
I must admit when I was on patches (Evorel) mine use to curl up at the edges.

Hi Cazikins

All of them do this.  Doesn't matter where I stick them.  Think it's something to do with me doing sweaty exercise on a daily basis.

I was given Estradot patches last year. Had one or two which didn't stick, but they are supposed to be very good at sticking.  I swim most days and they don't budge.

I'm on Conti patches, they don't move once they're on. I always put them on about 20 minutes after a shower.

It's not a problem with water getting in them (bathing, swimming, showering), but me sweating underneath them.  The outer border is always stuck down fine.  It was with Conti too.  I am also using the top of my thighs, as I think this is the least sweaty area when I am exercising.
