Any ladies heard about this treatment?

Nope. Dextrose = sugar ........... ::) it seems a bit like acupuncture with bits in ........... the inflammation is probably caused by the movement of the needle once in position plus a foreign body, i.e. dextrose, being injected. Why this would encourage the ligament to tighten I don't know, a physio would need to explain very patiently ::)

CLKD it is available on the NHS so it must be of value

It's really interesting - thanks Silverlady.
It's unusual to see that BUPA doesn't use it but the NHS does http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-143979/The-secret-cure-pain.html

I certainly would be willing to try it if it was offered, beats being injected with steroids for pain.
I think it must be similar to Hyaluronic acid injections for joint pain (used facial fillers too)
