Title: Mirena Coil - how long before things settle down please?
Post by: Jinx on May 30, 2013, 03:34:12 PM
Hi there, I had the coil fitted in January and everything was pretty quiet period wise - not what I am used to!!!

Then nothing for about 6 weeks and then the last three weeks I have had a bit of blood and yukky brown discharge - nothing terrible but inconvenient

Anyone tell me how long before things settle down?

Thanks ladies ;)

Mine took about six months of discharge then pretty much ok with the odd slight bleed. I still get occasional period pains but nothing like the lovely epic periods I used to have...  ::)

Hang in there Jinx, it will be worth it once it all settles down.
Just think no more bleeds for the next 4 years or so.
