Little pygmy possum found on Australian island for first time since fires
Bushfires destroyed almost half the bushland on Australia’s Kangaroo Island last summer, devastating animal habitats.
Ecologists feared the island’s population of little pygmy possums – the world’s smallest possum species – had been wiped out, but a new discovery has given them hope.

They must have been very difficult to find in the bush. I saw the video on the BBC - about the size of a thumb. They are exceedingly cute.

Bet that they can bite ;-). Hopefully where there's 1 there will be several :-*
