Title: Hot flushes back with a vengeance
Post by: Mikkie on March 31, 2017, 06:06:09 PM
I was hoping for some advice.  I have been taking evorel 50 patches now for 16 days and started to feel better. Now I have introduced provera 10mg 2 days ago at GP's request.  My hot flushes have come back, I have insomnia and I feel really bloated.  Not sure if I should persevere on Provera and will symptoms lesson as I keep taking it?  Many thanks

Some women find that flushes worsen temporarily when on the progestogen phase of sequential HRT. The usual advice is to try each HRT type for 3 months to allow the body to adjust so I suggest you carry on for a while and see how you get on. Hope you feel better soon and manage to get some sleep :)

Thanks for the replies.  I have now stopped taking the HRT altogether as I felt so unwell after only 4 days of progesterone.   :'( Back to the drawing board, I think. I may have to try some natural remedies.
